Gifts of Retirement Assets

For many people, a retirement account like a 401k or IRA is their largest financial asset. If you find that you don't need all of the funds, you may want to consider donating a portion to the Thich Nhat Hanh Foundation (the Plum Village Community of Engaged Buddhism).

You can donate during your lifetime or as part of your estate plan.

1. Current Gift: If you are at least 70 ½ years old, you are eligible to make a qualified charitable distribution to public charities up to $100,000 from your IRA each year. This is also known as an IRA charitable roll over. Giving now allows you to see your gifts at work.

 2. Beneficiary Designation: You can also name the Plum Village Community of Engaged Buddhism as the beneficiary of your IRA, 401k or other qualified plan. Giving through your estate helps ensure the long-term sustainability of our community. Contact your plan administrator for a change-of-beneficiary form.

To receive the information you will need to fill out the portion of the beneficiary form about the Plum Village Community, please fill out the form below.
